Alonzo M. Clark

Alonzo M. Clark (August 13, 1868-October 12, 1952) was an American politician who was Governor of Wyoming from 1931 to 1933.
Clark was born in Flint, Steuben County, Indiana. His family moved to Nebraska where he was raised and educated. Clark graduated from the Peru State Normal school in 1909 and taught school for several years. He soon moved to Wyoming and taught school in Glenrock, Lusk, and Gillette. Clark served as county clerk and clerk of the district court in Campbell County and joined the Republican Party while in office. Clark was elected to the office of the Secretary of State of Wyoming in November of 1926 and served two terms. Clark took office as acting Governor to complete the first half of the late Governor Emerson's term. He served from February 18, 1931 until January 2, 1933.
